Our Therapists | The Labyrinth Alcove Counselling & Psychotherapy
Compassionate, thoughtful care— grounded in authenticity and genuine connection.
Welcome to The Labyrinth Alcove.
I’m Amanda (she/her), and I created The Labyrinth Alcove as a quiet, intentional space for anyone in Ontario seeking counselling and psychotherapy that is compassionate, client-centred, and grounded in authentic human connection.
Life can often feel like a labyrinth—winding, unpredictable, and overwhelming. The Labyrinth Alcove is a space to slow down, be heard, and make sense of what you are experiencing— without judgement, without rush.
Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, exhausted, or simply in need of support and guidance, you are invited to step into this alcove and be met with warmth, genuine presence, and care.
For now, this is a solo practice—but this page reflects the heart of the work. As The Labyrinth Alcove grows, it will become a home for other therapists who share the same commitment to you: to listen deeply, honour your story, and offer guidance with respect, authenticity, and thoughtful, human-centred care.

Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist
Founder | The Labyrinth Alcove
I’m a Registered Social Worker and the Founder of The Labyrinth Alcove Counselling & Psychotherapy. I approach therapy with my heart on my sleeve— from a space of genuine curiosity, care, and compassion.
My work is grounded in evidence-based, integrative practice— though therapy with me is about more than technique. It’s about feeling heard, acknowledged, and understood. It’s about having space to slow down and exhale, to be honest about what’s hard, and to begin to gently make sense of your experience.
Together, we work toward change that feels sustainable, meaningful, and manageable within real, everyday life.
You are welcome here, exactly as you are.

I use an evidence-based, integrative approach to counselling and psychotherapy— drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and other modalities— while thoughtfully adapting my approach to fit your unique needs, goals, and lived experience.
In our work together, I offer space to better understand what you’re navigating, explore patterns that may be keeping you feeling stuck, and gently build skills that support meaningful change— in ways that feel realistic and sustainable for everyday life.
I am especially passionate about working with:
The Perinatal Path— supporting you through pregnancy, postpartum, and the beautifully chaotic (and often messy) transition to parenthood.
Early Adulthood— walking alongside you through moments of change as you learn about yourself and begin shaping who you want to become.
The Overwhelmed— offering a soft place to land when stress, burnout, and emotional exhaustion start to weigh on you.
My hope is that our work together can feel like a steady, safe, and supportive process— not about fixing you, but about meeting you as a person who is navigating a very real human experience.
